US Presidents (iPhone)
US Presidents is my favorite game in the Match'Em Up History & Geography series. You learn the names, chronological order and to recognize photos of the US Presidents in this memory matching game with a twist.
Each game consists of 4 rounds. In round 1 you match the president portraits and learn their names, order and years served. In round 2 you match the portraits to the names of the presidents. In round 3 you match the portraits to the chronological order in which the served. The final round is all words as you match the names of the presidents to the order.
Easy Level
The Easy level is the default level. It has you matching 8 pairs across the 4 different rounds. It is great to start at this level to begin learning and recognizing presidents before advancing to the Medium or Hard levels.
The screen showing is round 2 where you ar macthing the presidential portraits against the names.
Medium Level
Feel the groove on the Medium level. You get to find and match 12 pairs of presidential pairs across the 4 rounds. Call the White House, here I come.
Round 1 has matching portraits against portraits so that you can begin to learn who the presidents are and when they served their terms.
Main Screen
We lay out all of our iPhone apps with a main screen starting point. Use the Options to change music, sound, level and mode settings. The About screen will show you credits for the various people involved in creation of the application. Explore lets you get started and have a great time.
A cool collection of jazz music produced by Vinny Falcone plays in the background during this game. Learning the president has never been so smooth.
Match Found
When a match is made the presidents portrait, name, chronological order and years served are shown. Each game randomly uses different presidents, but will use the same Presidents through all 4 rounds. This enhances the ability to learn that set.
The more you play the quicker you will get. You can also set it to just match president names and chronological order in word only mode and there are 3 levels of difficulty with each one presenting more Presidents per round.
Hard Level
I hope you have good eyes and an even better memory! This level has you are matching 18 pairs in each of the 4 rounds. By the time you get through all 4 rounds you will probably feel like it is a historic event.
Showing to the left is round 4 of the Medium level. In this round your matching the president names against the chronological order they served.
